FairMail organise sa 5ème tournée promotionnelle européenne ! A cette occasion, les invités photographes adolescents vedettes sont Anidela (16 ans) et Angeles (17 ans) de FairMail Pérou.
Nous pouvons maintenant annoncer un programme riche d’action pour leur visite en Allemagne, aux Pays-Bas et en Belgique. Lors de leur séjour de 17 jours, elles seront amenées à raconter leur histoire personnelle qui se trouve derrière leurs cartes de vœux unique en son genre de commerce équitable. Et ceci, à autant de personnes que possible, en parallèle de comprendre et de s’intéresser au marché  de « leur carte de vœux ». Et surtout, sans oublier que ce voyage est un moment unique dans leur vie car elles n’ont jamais quitté le Pérou ni même pris l’avion !

Résultats de la tournée européenne de promotion de FairMail

Learning which cards sell wellLe 11 Septembre, après 3 semaines de voyage à travers l’Europe, la 4ème  tournée européenne de promotion de FairMail s’est terminée en présence de Yuli et Yomira , deux photographes adolescentes de FairMail Pérou.

Après avoir volé jusqu’aux Pays-Bas pour la première fois dans leur vie, elles ont parcouru plus de 3 000 kilomètres à travers la Belgique, la France et l’Allemagne.

Presenting at the FA!R in DortmundSur leur chemin, elles ont:

• Présenté FairMail sur la scène principale d’un salon du commerce équitable à Dortmund, dédié aux entreprises.
• Rencontré 6 entreprises clientes qui achètent leurs photos en France, en Allemagne, en Belgique et aux Pays-Bas.
• Donné 7 interviews à différents journaux et magazines.
• découvert leurs cartes en vente dans 4 boutiques.
• appris quelles cartes ont un fort ou un faible niveau de vente avec 2 représentants.
• participé à un festival de musique pour vendre leurs cartes directement au consommateur final.
A dream come true: visiting the Eiffel tower

• pris 2 400 photos de l’Europe pour les montrer à leur famille à leur retour.

• mis en relation près de 40 anciens volontaires photographes qui ont enseigné la photographie avec les voyageurs qui ont visité le Pérou dans le passé.

Yuli et Yomira ont terminé leur séjour avec la préparation de 2 intéressantes présentations powerpoint pour faire découvrir les résultats de leur étude de marketing aux autres adolescents de FairMail au Pérou et en Inde.

Après l’annonce de la visite européenne de deux adolescents péruviens il y a deux mois, nous sommes maintenant heureux de vous présenter leur programme de voyage. Au cours  des activités planifiées vous pouvez rencontrer personnellement Yuli et Yomira entre le 21 Août et le 10 Septembre 2013.

Les deux photographes Péruviens de FairMail se rendront aux Pays-Bas, en Belgique, en France et en Allemagne. Nous allons commencer la tournée par un très bel accueil consacré à Yuli et Yomira lors d’un événement de lancement spécial à Utrecht, aux Pays-Bas le samedi 24 Août 2013. L’objectif de leur visite est d’étudier le marché des cartes de voeux et de promouvoir l’histoire unique révélée à travers les cartes FairMail. Le programme a été mis en place dans cette optique. Au cours de ces trois semaines, ils rencontreront des représentants du secteur du commerce équitable, des responsables de développement de produit réalisés à partir de leurs photos, des éditeurs de leurs cartes et des magasins qui les vendent. Ils ont également été sélectionnés pour présenter FairMail et leur histoire personnelle au point culminant du salon du commerce équitable B2B FAIR! pendant deux jours à Dortmund, en Allemagne. De plus, ils participeront à des réunions avec  partenaires comme Hollandse Hoogte et Greetz. Le 31 août, ils seront parmi les clients finaux de FairMail tout en vendant des cartes FairMail aux visiteurs de la fête de la musique gratuite Westerpop, Pays-Bas. Cette année, le thème de la tournée promotionnelle européenne sera « retour à l’école ». En août la plupart des enfants européens effectuent leur rentrée, avec des reportages média sur les nouveautés liées à cet évènement. Cette année, nous espérons les intéresser avec cette ouverture qu’au  Pérou, en Inde et au Maroc des adolescents vont aussi à l’école. Non après d’agréables vacances comme la plupart des enfants en Europe, mais après une jeunesse à travailler pour y parvenir. Grace à leur fort investissement,  leur travail qualitatif et la vente de leurs photos issues du commerce équitable, ils ont été capables de changer leur destin. Et maintenant, deux d’entre eux sont ici en Europe, disponibles pour des rencontres. Nous sommes toujours à la recherche de nombreux contacts avec les médias qui souhaiteraient  interviewer Yomira et Yuli. Pour la quatrième fois FairMail organise une tournée européenne de promotion, accompagné de deux de nos photographes adolescents. Les objectifs sont de diffuser l’histoire unique qui se révèle derrière les cartes de vœux FairMail et de développer de précieuses connaissances sur le marché européen des cartes pour les partager ensuite avec les autres photographes au Pérou et en Inde afin qu’ils puissent encore mieux adapter leur produit aux attentes de leurs clients. Qui pourrait mieux mener ce projet que les adolescents eux-mêmes?

C’est pourquoi, après un processus de sélection difficile, deux adolescents péruviens ont été sélectionnés pour faire le voyage de leur vie dans 5 pays européens, en août et septembre 2013. Yuli et Yomira ont été choisis sur la base de leurs compétences en anglais, leur motivation et leur capacité à communiquer l’histoire derrière leurs cartes.

La tournée débutera le 23 août à Amsterdam et se termine le 12 septembre également à Amsterdam. Nous travaillons toujours sur le programme définitif, mais l’idée est de promouvoir leurs cartes et de visiter leurs clients aux Pays-Bas, en Belgique, en France, en Suisse et en Allemagne. Pour que ce voyage soit un succès, nous sommes toujours à la recherche de personnes qui peuvent nous aider :

– Relation presse et conseil en marketing. Nous pourrions envisager le support d’un organisme professionnel de relations publiques pour nous aider à rendre la visite plus efficace. Nous investissons beaucoup d’argent pour faire venir les adolescents en Europe, mais comment pouvons-nous le transformer un bon investissement pour eux?

– Télévision et contacts avec les médias. Pour notre tournée de promotion à venir avec les deux adolescents péruviens FairMail (LIEN), nous recherchons des journalistes et d’autres contacts avec les médias en Allemagne, en France, en Belgique, aux Pays-Bas et en Suisse pour les interviewer

– Des idées pour nos adolescents lors de la tournée de promotion. Nous sommes à la recherche de lieux à visiter et de personnes pour nous guider. Les lieux centres d’intérêt sont par exemple sont par exemple des écoles, villes, monuments mais aussi des occasions de rencontre où ils peuvent promouvoir leurs cartes (festivals, boutiques, villes avec des actions de commerce équitable). Vous habitez en Allemagne, France, Pays-Bas, en Belgique ou en Suisse et vous souhaitez nous aider à faire de ce voyage une expérience inoubliable pour nos adolescents, n’hésitez pas à prendre contact avec nous

From the 11th of June until the 3rd of July FairMail organized its third European promotional tour. Guest of honor during the 3 week road trips was FairMail India Photographer Dhiraj Kannaujia. FairMail invited him to come to Europe to tell the unique story behind his cards and to learn more about his greeting card market.

Both goals where achieved with success. Dhiraj gave no less than 12 interviews for the television, radio, newspapers and magazines in the Netherlands, Germany and France. To learn more about the market he visited 5 of FairMail’s publishers in the same countries plus Switzerland. During the tour we also visited business customers like the Dutch ethical ASN Bank, a consumer festival in the Netherlands and 5 FairMail selling points in Germany. In France Dhiraj presented FairMail during three regional meetings of the sales representatives of La Carterie who will be promoting their new range of ethical cards and calendar.

(English) FairMail’s European promotion tour ready to start

FairMail is ready to get started with it’s European promotional tour that will take place from the 11th of June until the 3rd of July 2012. Special guests are two of FairMail India’s teenage photographers, Dhiraj and Anil. We just thought « Who is better at explaining the unique story behind the FairMail Cards and the impact it has on the life of its teenage photographers than the photographers themselves? »

Destinations

During the three week tour they will be visiting The Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, France and Belgium (download the itinerary here). In each country they will be promoting FairMail via interviews with the media, meetings with the shops and sales people that sell their cards and of course directly with the people that buy their cards at public music festivals. Besides promotion the other goal of the trip is that they investigate « their » Western greeting card market. What kind of pictures sell well, what are the latest trends and what is the competition doing? Back home in India they will present and share their valuable market knowledge with their fellow young photographers so the whole team is better equipped to sell to their main market. Besides these « serious » goals the trip will simple be the trip of their lifetime and a chance to meet up with former photography volunteers and participant of the photography trips to India in the past. What an experience!

FairMail’s first French calendar is now available!

In cooperation with FairMail’s French publisher « La Carterie » a 2013 calendar was produced. The artistic team at La Carterie choose to make a fair trade calendar using 12 portraits made by the FairMail teenagers in Peru and India.

What’s happening?

In June two Indian FairMail teenagers are coming to Europe to promote their greeting cards and learn more about the European card market they sell their pictures to. If all goes according to plan Anil Rao (15 years old) and Dhiraj Kannaujiya (19 years old) will travel through Europe between the 11th of June and the 3rd of July 2012. During this period they will visit the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, France and Belgium.

Preparations being made:

We are currently busy preparing their travel schedule in which they will visit their most important clients, do press interviews, open picture exhibitions and sell their cards directly to consumers at different consumer festivals. Logo-La-carterieFairMail is very happy and proud to announce the exclusive partnership it has signed with card publisher “La Carterie SAS”, which is the number one brand in the French greeting card market.  The company owns famous brands such as Hallmark, Yvon and Hazan. In the partnership FairMail will provide the pictures and FairMail concept which the product developers of La Carterie will convert into tailor made « solidarity products » for the French market. The first French FairMail Calendar for 2013 is ready to be sold to the first French shops!

In order to explain how FairMail works to the employees of La Carterie the teenagers from Peru and India made a special French promotional video in which they tell their story in their best French! Have a look below:

La Carterie buys photos taken by teenagers to develop products such as greeting cards & calendars. 35% of the photo’s purchase price is directly transferred to teenagers for their education and housing.

In June two Indian FairMail teenagers will visit La Carterie’s headquarters in Paris and two regional sales meetings in the north of France so the teenagers can meet their new customer.
